Hyderabad, a bustling metropolis, is divided into seven distinct zones—Central, East, North, South, South East, South West, and West—each managed by a Deputy Commissioner of Police. These zones are further subdivided into 28 divisions, each overseen by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, with the Law & Order Police Stations acting as the fundamental units of law enforcement. Each of the 71 Law & Order Police Stations is headed by an Inspector of Police.
In addition to regular policing duties, Hyderabad City Police also manages specialized units such as Detective Inspectors, who handle property offences, and Women Police Stations, with seven dedicated units catering to women’s issues and crimes. The police force maintains a steady focus on the city’s law and order commitments year-round, managing challenges like festivals, VIP visits, agitations, and communal harmony.
The city’s law enforcement prioritizes safety and peace, combating a wide range of criminal activities, from traditional crimes to white-collar and cybercrimes, ensuring a secure and harmonious environment for citizens and businesses alike.
