In Bharatpur, Rajasthan, a group of Christians was attacked during a prayer meeting at a private residence by a mob allegedly led by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Rajesh Singhal. The incident, occurring on Friday, July 5, resulted in severe injuries to attendees, including women, accused of forced religious conversions. Subsequently, the Mathura Gate police team intervened, arresting 20 individuals. 
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) confirmed receipt of a complaint about potential religious conversions at the location, leading to detainments for interrogation. VHP representatives claimed they received reports of forced conversions and asserted their actions were in response to safeguarding Hindu interests amid allegations of widespread conversions in Rajasthan. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
