Mangaluru Police Warn Residents About Thieves on the Prowl

The Mangaluru police have issued a warning to residents about a professional gang of thieves active in the city. On Sunday, July 7, around 2 a.m., a group of five thieves broke into the home of Pradeep in Vivekanand Nagar, Kodikal. The burglars gained entry by breaking the window grill and made off with ₹10,000. At the time of the theft, Pradeep was asleep in one room while his elderly father and son were in another.

Mangaluru PoliceThe thieves searched the house for about an hour before escaping. Once the theft was discovered, Pradeep’s father and son promptly reported the incident to the Urwa Police Station. The case has been registered under Sections 331(4) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police have urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately.
