Cyberabad police conducted a special crackdown on July 7 to combat drunken driving, resulting in the apprehension of 168 offenders across the commissionerate. The operation targeted drivers of two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and heavy vehicles. Officials reported that among those caught, 26 individuals had blood alcohol concentrations (BAC) ranging from 200 mg/100 ml to 550 mg/100 ml.
All apprehended individuals will be presented before the
court for legal proceedings. This initiative underscores the police department’s commitment to enhancing road safety and preventing accidents caused by intoxicated driving.
