In a shocking incident from Jalore, Rajasthan, a case of
fraudulent marriage has surfaced where the bride absconded just two days after the ceremony, taking with her Rs 24 lakh in cash and jewelry worth Rs 5 lakh. The complaint was lodged by Dinesh Kumar of Bhinmal, alleging that he had married Chanda Kumari from Sirohi district on June 4 under Hindu customs.
After staying in Bhinmal briefly
post-marriage, Chanda disappeared, refusing to return despite pleas from her in-laws. The police swiftly intervened, arresting two female suspects, including the bride and her mother, in connection with the case. An investigation into this deceptive marriage and financial fraud is currently underway, highlighting the vulnerability of victims to such scams.
