Hyderabad Police detained Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leaders and workers during a protest on Thursday against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his alleged ‘anti-Hindu’ remarks made in the Lok Sabha on Monday. BJYM had organized the protest in response to Gandhi’s speech during the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address.

Protesters gathered at the BJP office in Nampally, intending to march to Gandhi Bhavan, the Congress headquarters in Telangana. Raising slogans against Gandhi and burning his effigy, the BJYM members were halted by police due to lack of permission for the march. In retaliation, the protesters sat on the road, demanding to proceed. The police then intervened, physically lifting some protesters into vehicles and dispersing them to various police stations across the city.
