The Gurugram police have taken decisive action against the use of modified bike silencers, seizing and subsequently crushing over a dozen such silencers under a road roller in Sohna. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abhilaksh Joshi stated that the action followed numerous complaints about these modified silencers causing disturbance and noise pollution. According to Joshi, offenders were issued challans before their silencers were removed from the bikes and destroyed. The police intend to continue these measures, targeting both offenders and the mechanics who install such modifications. They have deployed personnel at checkpoints to curb these activities and emphasized the importance of adhering to vehicle regulations to the public.
