Telangana Police Intensify Border Vigilance Against Ganja Smuggling: CM Revanth Reddy’s Directive

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed police officials to heighten vigilance at state borders to curb ganja smuggling into Telangana. Addressing a meeting at the Command Control Center (CCC), he emphasized the need to intensify efforts against drug trafficking to cleanse society of this menace.

The Chief Minister also announced plans for free education and the establishment of specialized schools for children of police personnel, akin to army schools. He highlighted the historic challenge of illicit liquor (Gudumba) and underscored the importance of safeguarding children from drug addiction, pointing out the influx of ganja from the Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB). The meeting was attended by inspectors and senior officers from Greater Hyderabad’s three commissionerates, as well as officials from CBCID, ACB, Greyhounds, and Octopus units.
