In a bid to bolster security in Manipur, a coalition of Border Security Forces, Assam Rifles, CRPF, and Manipur Police launched extensive search operations in vulnerable villages across the state. These coordinated efforts included meticulous cordon and search maneuvers aimed at maintaining stability. Notably, in Churachandpur district, authorities recovered three Improvised long-range mortars with live shells from an abandoned camp previously occupied by unidentified individuals, which were promptly handed over to Manipur Police for further action.

Further operations unfolded in Imphal West district’s Haorang Sabal area, where police and CRPF meticulously searched 55 houses, verifying the identities of 87 residents. Similarly, in Wapokpi village under Sugnu police station, Kakching district police and BSF combed through 80 houses, identifying 175 individuals. Operations extended to S Laijang village in Kangpokpi district and Bethal Veng and Gamngai village, encompassing thorough area domination and household verifications.

Despite the comprehensive nature of these searches, no arrests or weapon seizures were reported. The overarching goal of these operations remains to fortify stability in Manipur’s sensitive border regions.
