- Delhi: The Delhi Police are gearing up to implement three new criminal laws, having conducted comprehensive training sessions and forming a dedicated committee led by Special Commissioner Chhaya Sharma. The new laws mandate video documentation of crime scene evidence to prevent tampering, along with providing helplines for investigating officers (IOs) to ensure thorough understanding.
- Bihar: Bihar Police are fully prepared to enforce three new criminal laws, emphasizing technological advancements and capacity building. They have trained over 25,000 senior officers and are conducting awareness programs across all police stations to ensure a smooth transition starting July 1.
- Tripura: The Tripura government has taken extensive measures to implement new criminal laws, aiming to modernize the judiciary and ensure swift justice. Training programs have been completed for all stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and social welfare departments.
- Mizoram: Mizoram has launched initiatives to facilitate the effective implementation of three new criminal laws, despite challenges in translating them into the local language, according to Inspector General of Police Lalbiakthanga Khiangte.

- Arunachal Pradesh: Arunachal Pradesh will adopt the English and Hindi versions of the new laws due to its linguistic diversity. Officials are being trained accordingly to ensure widespread understanding and compliance.
- Assam: Assam Police, fully prepared for the new laws, have been gearing up for the transition since the initial drafts were made public three years ago. The laws are seen as a significant departure from colonial-era statutes, reflecting contemporary legal principles.
- Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu has expedited training for judicial and police personnel to cope with the upcoming changes in criminal laws, despite initial opposition. Chief Minister MK Stalin highlighted the need for thorough understanding and consultation before implementation.
- Himachal Pradesh: Himachal Pradesh anticipates a transformative impact from the new laws, emphasizing transparency and effectiveness. Additional Director General of Police Abhishek Trivedi outlined preparations for seamless adoption, including enhanced technology integration.
- Odisha: Odisha Police are set to implement the new laws from July 1, following comprehensive training sessions for inspectors and higher-ranked officers. DGP Arun Sarangi confirmed readiness for the transition.
- Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu and Kashmir Police have published a compendium on the new criminal laws in Urdu, detailing provisions for investigation, arrest, and prosecution. The state is prepared for the overhaul of legal frameworks to prioritize justice over penal actions, as per Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s directive.
